On 15th January 2009, Katherine Hamlett, organised a reading workshop for Y7 pupils and parents.
Whilst their parents were learning how to support them with their reading, the Y7 pupils were entertained by performer/poet, Paul Cookson. (http://www.paulcooksonpoet.co.uk) They had great fun in this lively and hilarious workshop writing and performing poems. Here are two poems the pupils preformed for parents at the end of the evening. You have to imagine the actions, facial expressions and voices of the pupils.

On December 11th 2008, St Gregory’s held a gluhwein and mince pies evening for parents of Year 7 gifted and talented pupils. The aim of the evening was to give parents information about this new project to support and extend pupils’ reading.
