I loved reading the series of 9 books by Alexander McCall Smith and was thrilled to bits to watch the dramatisation of the first book, ‘The Number 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency’, on BBC1 recently . The characters were just as I had imagined them and the Botswana setting was stunning. Highly recommend you read them all!

I enjoy this series of books too. i have just finished the latest to be published in paperback. The Good Husband of Zebra Drive. It is similar to the others but still enjoyable. There is a good spat between Mme Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi.
